AEShareNet now offers an easier method of obtaining permission to use third party materials with the "Free for Education" Licence mark.
AEShareNet has developed the FfE licence mark which simplifies the permission process - all the owner has to do is affix the AEShareNet-FfE licence mark, which allows educators to *use* the material without having to go through any formal process. It may also help educational institutions avoid any unintended fees for using downloaded webpages.
The AEShareNet-FfE licence mark can be used in two ways:
- by creators, who apply the AEShareNet-FfE licence mark on (or in association with) their material, to signify that the material can be used under the FfE 'licence' conditions;
- by users, who reference the AEShareNet-FfE licence mark licence terms to signify the scope of permission they are seeking in relation someone else's material.
