When constructing learning resources it is desirable to get hold of the best available components. In the past this may have meant inserting a whole video or referencing a whole text. But with the digital evolution it is now much easier to mix and match as long as the IP owners are willing to see their precious products sliced and diced.
BBC worldwide, who owns a wealth of high quality materials, many in DVD/video
format, is one such organisation. They are keen to licence their materials,
though not all programmes are available, for digitisation into educational
institutions learning resources. At present they list nine products on the
AEShareNet site. To find these resources go to Advanced search and put in
BBC Worldwide in the "Ownership" box.
