AEShareNet Welcomes our First New Zealand Member
AEShareNet Membership continues to expand across the sector and we are pleased to announce our first Member to join from across the Tasman. The Open Polytechnic of New Zealand has recently joined AEShareNet and we look forward to facilitating 'trans-Tasman' trading of learning materials in the near future.
The Open Polytechnic is New Zealand's specialist Open and Distance education provider and services over 30,000 students in over 40 countries. It is a government owned and funded institute offering 170 programs and 1500 courses from Certificate to Diploma and Degree level ranging in technical, vocational and continuing education.
As a specialist distance institution, The Open Polytechnic is at the forefront of e-learning development in New Zealand as well as offering traditional paper-based teaching. The Open Polytechnic will be both a provider and a licensee of learning materials on AEShareNet.
AEShareNet Membership is drawing interest from a variety of overseas organisations looking to trade learning materials with Australian educators. We are currently finalising arrangements with some UK based organisations.
