Local System Software

Abstract

This page provides information on how to obtain the AEShareNet Local System software which is used for creating descriptions of learning materials and uploading them to the AEShareNet Central System. Please note: it is no longer standard practice for the LAESN software to be distributed and in most cases TVET Australia will instead assist you in listing your materials on the website. This page has been retained for general information and may not reflect the actual policy and procedure of TVET Australia.

Overview

The AEShareNet Local System (sometimes known as "LAESN") is a software that is available to all Members who wish to catalogue their material registrations in their own environment to up-load materials available for licensing to the AEShareNet website (ie, being a Licensor). It allows you to:

If you are a Member who wishes only to take out licences (ie, being a Licensee and not a Licensor) for materials made available by other Members of AEShareNet, you will not need to install the Local System Software.

The installation kit which allows the AEShareNet Local System to be set up on your computer is available on CD. You will find the serial number of your licence to use the Local System software included in the case of the CD. Please note down the number and keep for future reference. After installing the software, you will need your serial number for accessing technical support and for receiving upgrades.

The CD will be posted out to you once your Membership Application has been accepted.

The CD will also provide you with the documents listed below in PDF format. They are also available for download from the website.
