View Material Registration
This page shows the details of a Material Registration that you have selected.
(Note: "Material Registrations" in AEShareNet are not identical to "Materials". A single Material can be registered in the AEShareNet system a number of times that is, a single Material can have multiple Material Registrations. This can occur, for example, because a Material may be available for license under more than one licence regime.)
The availability of the Request Licence option and certain Navigation links depend on whether or not you have logged in to the AEShareNet Members Area.
Material Registration (Summary)
You can view a Material Registration either in summary form or expanded form. When you first select a Material Registration for viewing it is displayed in summary form. You can display the expanded form by selecting Show full licence conditions at the bottom of the summary.
The Registered Material's title is displayed as the heading at the top of the summary page, followed by the other details of the Material Registration underneath.
MRN:
The Registered Material's Material Registration Number, which uniquely identifies the Material Registration in AEShareNet. The MRN also forms part of the AEShareNet copyright licence mark for a Material, and the web address for the Material Registration details in AEShareNet (this web page).
Status:
A Material Registration can have one of several possible statuses:
Active available for licensing.
Conditional not yet available for licensing due to something as yet not resolved (for example, a clearance from an interested party). Contact the Licensor for further information.
Suspended not available for licensing, suspended by Licensor. Contact the Licensor for further information.
Inactive not available for licensing. Contact AEShareNet System Administrator for further information.
Revoked not available for licensing. Contact AEShareNet System Administrator for further information.
Material Scope:
Scope of the subject matter of the Material. Materials are generally written to support a sector, an entire curriculum/training package, modules or units of competency.
Material Type:
The descriptive category that best describes its use in vocational education and training, e.g. Curriculum, Learner resource, Assessment instrument, Competency standard, Learner workbook, Resource module. A set of 46 descriptive terms has been devised to classify Materials in this way.
Licensor:
The name of the Member who is the Licensor of the Material Registration.
Subjects:
Subject classifications for this Material, using widely used classification thesauruses in vocational eduction in Australia.
Related Materials:
Links to other Material Registrations which the Licensor has indicated are related to this Registration. For example the same material under different licence conditions or a link between a Learner Guide and Learner Workbook addressing the same competency.
Related NTIS Codes:
NTIS (National Training Information Service) Codes associated with the Material. NTIS codes provide a unique identifier for Training Packages, Qualifications, Unit of Competency and Courses
Format Type:
The nature or genre of the content of the Material. The values used have been taken from the Dublin Core Type list (DCT1) for example, Collection, Image, Text, Software, Interactive Resource.
Qualification Level:
The Qualification Level for which the Material is designed or is appropriate. Not all materials refer to a course or qualification (such as research and policy materials). Also, some materials relate to a number of qualification levels.
Material Pointer:
A URL or web link to further information about the Material and how to obtain it.
Description:
A free text description of the Material. The description summarises the content and scope of the material, and is provided to assist users in determining whether the Material will be suitable for their requirements.
Conditions of Use
Copyright Notice
A copyright statement to inform Users of Copyright on the Material.
Licence Mark:
The AEShareNet Licence Mark under which a Licence for the Material is being offered under this Material Registration.

Show Full Licence Conditions
A link to show the full Licence conditions for this Material Registration (details in expanded form).
Hide Full Licensing Conditions
Shows the same Material Registration but hides many of the standard details of the Licensing Conditions.
Request Licence
Requests a Licence for the current Material Registration. This option is only available to those who have logged in. Some Licensing conditions may be subject to negotiation.
