Content Creators and multimedia developers
This page describes aspects of the AEShareNet website likely to be of particular interest to people developing learning materials (whether in print or online formats).
Advanced search options
The options in advanced search may be of particular interest:
- Search for a specific Licence Mark. For example materials with the AEShareNet-U mark can be freely used whether you are a member of AEShareNet or not.
- Search for a Format Type, eg for images or software to incorporate in a multimedia development.
Materials under development
Most of the materials listed in the AEShareNet website are completed materials. However there is a special category for materials under development.- To find materials under development by others: Use Advanced Search and unselect the "Available" box to search just for materials "Under Development". You can use this alone (to list all material under development) or combined with other search options. When viewing the Material Registration you will be able to read descriptions and find contact details for the Licensor, but will not be able to request a licence.
- To list materials you are developing: If you are a member of AEShareNet you can advertise the existence of materials you have under development by entering them in the Local System with the status "Prospective" and then uploading to the Central System. (You will need to add a Licence Mark but this is indicative only and can be changed when the material is completed and available for licensing).

The paper Multimedia Licensing in AEShareNet was written in the planning stages of the AEShareNet licensing system and contains information on intellectual property issues specific to multimedia content and how the six AEShareNet licence protocols relate to these issues.
