A one-day seminar, held on the 2nd March
to launch the RSA Adelphi Intellectual Property Charter in Australia
http://www.adelphicharter.org/johnhowkins.asp
What was covered?
If you want to do business in the knowledge economy this was
the event to attend in 2006. The RSA Adelphi Charter
was recently launched in London and offers a balance for creators
and users of IP. The Charter redefines a complex area into straightforward
concepts. It's a great idea about how we manage good ideas and
sets out clear and concise guidelines for the global information
society. This is the charter about how to make IP work. The Adelphi
Charter is supported by the Royal Society for the Encouragement
of the Arts, Manufacture and Commerce (RSA)
The seminar explored all the options with perspectives from key
thought leaders in Australia. The day was stimulating and informative
and packed full of vital survival tips for the 21st century. It
showed that there's nothing dull about IP.
'Making the Most of Creativity: In the Public Interest' was chaired
by stimulating IP commentators including Catharine Lumby and Graham
Greenleaf.
