The National Reporting System is a mechanism for reporting the outcomes of adult English language, literacy and numeracy provision in the vocational education and training system, as well as in employment programs and in the adult community education sector. The Resource Kit for Initial Assessment has been collated using a wide range of contributions from experienced language, literacy and numeracy assessors across Queensland. The tasks have been modified to be as generic as possible so that they can be used across a variety of situations and contexts. However, in order to maintain integrity, some tasks have a more specific context. The following resources have been developed for the initial assessment of Language, Literacy and Numeracy competence using the National Reporting System: RESOURCE KIT CONTENTS: The Resource Kit contains 16 tasks covering a wide variety of areas. The following topics are some of the areas covered by these resources: Client Interviews; Personal Details; Signs; Photos and stories; Grocery Advertisement; TV Guides and Calendars; Runner / Teepee articles; Recipes; Invoices; Personal Writing.

* a URL link to the Material Registration at the AEShareNet website.
